A suicide prevention program delivered by one of our Training Providers, Mr Mark Toner MD of ICSE, was awarded the “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative” at the prestigious Irish Institute of Training and Development Awards this March. Congratulations to Mark on the award which was given in recognition of his work on the program.
Background
In 2016 ICSE launched a program to provide security personnel with the knowledge and skills to effectively intervene with any vulnerable patrons, that security personnel believed might be suicidal, in a pub or a night club environment.
Delivered through ICSE training centres nationally, in conjunction with the HSE, the program was provided to participants free of charge and delivered by specialist HSE trainers in ICSE training centres in Dublin, Galway and Cork.
The security personnel who took part in this initiative did so at their own cost and for no other reason than to have the ability to further help their patrons and in particular those that are vulnerable and in distress. A huge congrats to all involved in delivering this program
