On the 19th July 2024, the Private Security Authority (PSA) prosecuted H&H Security Limited of Turra, Ballickmoyler, Co. Laois for breaches of the Private Security Services Acts. The company pleaded guilty at Portlaoise District Court in front of Judge Andrew Cody. The Judge fined H&H Security Limited €7,000 and awarded costs of €3,000 against the company.
The prosecution arose from an investigation by the PSA into the provision of door supervisor services in Portlaoise during 2022. The PSA found the company provided door supervisor services without a licence between March and September 2022.
