Private Security Authority Annual Report 2022
On 15th November 2023, Minister for Justice Helen McEntee TD published the Annual Report of the Private Security Authority along with the Financial Statements for 2022.
Launch of new human trafficking awareness training for the security industry
To coincide with EU Anti-Trafficking Day, the Private Security Authority (PSA) is today launching new human trafficking awareness training for the security industry. The training, which has been developed for the PSA by Mecpaths, will become mandatory for all those seeking a PSA licence to work in the Door Supervisor, Event Security and Security Guarding sectors.

PSA Prosecutes Unlicensed Security Guard
On the 28th July 2023, Mr. Sanele Sandile Sacolo, of Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Co. Laois was found guilty at Navan District Court of one breach of the Private Security Services Act. This followed an investigation by the PSA into the provision of unlicensed security guarding services at Fairyhouse Racecourse, Co. Meath.
