If you are aggrieved by a decision of the Private Security Authority you may, within one month after the date of receipt of notification of the decision, appeal to the Appeal Board against it by serving a notice of appeal accompanied by the appropriate fee. Once you have lodged your appeal you are not entitled, unless requested by the Appeal Board, to elaborate in writing on your appeal or make further submissions in writing in relation to the grounds of your appeal. Any such elaboration will not be considered by the Appeal Board.
In accordance with paragraph 21(2), Schedule 2 of the Private Security Services Act 2004, the Appeal Board has absolute discretion in determining whether to conduct an oral hearing in any given case.
