Contractors may apply to add additional sectors to their existing PSA Licence.
Licence holders will pay a fee for the add-on based on the unused period of their existing licence. The new licence will issue for a period of 2 years from the date of issue. A fees table for add-ons is set out below.
Addition of Electronic Security Sectors
(Installer and Maintenance of Intruder Alarms, CCTV and/or Access Control Sectors)
To apply to add any/all of the above sectors to your licence you must provide the following:
- Relevant Completed Application form
- Prescribed Licence fee*
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
- Auditors Turnover Certificate for the new sector
- If the current licence issued over 15 months ago, new turnover figures must be provided for all sectors.
- In the case of sole traders and partnerships the turnover should be declared on the application form
- Foreign Criminal Record Certificate, where applicable
- Evidence of attainment of the Required Standard(s)
- Original Licence
Note * The prescribed licence fee should be remitted with current valid standard(s) and must be accompanied by the original PSA Licence.
Fee should be paid by Electronic Funds Transfer – for PSA EFT Bank details

Addition of Licences in the Door Supervisor (Licensed Premises), Security Guard (Static), Door Supervisor (Event Security), Security Guard (Event Security) or Enforcement Guard sectors, where you do not currently hold a licence on any of these sectors
PSA 31 Information Pack and PSA 31 Requirements Document should you wish to add any of the above sectors to your current PSA Licence.
You will also be required to provide the following:
- Relevant Completed Application Form
- Prescribed Licence fee* to be calculated on the unused portion of your licence per table below
- Valid Tax Clearance to include Revenue Access Number
- Auditors Turnover Certificate for the new sector
- If current licence issued over 15 months ago, new turnover figures must be provided for all sectors.
- In the case of sole traders and partnerships the turnover should be declared on the application form
- Foreign Criminal Record Certificate where required
- Original Licence
Addition of All Other Sectors
To apply to add all other sectors to your licence you must provide the following:
- Relevant Completed Application form
